The small details of the flower are everywhere, and they go well together with all the great design elements, like the offset center of the flower, the slightly symmetrical shape of the flower petals, the balanced out contrast and light. I like how the blue and orange colors are both in this photo, and they push each other outward, as they are complementary colors of the color spectrum.

I've never seen such a blue flower :) It is a lovely shade and the center colors look great too. I like the silkiness of the strands in the very center and how well they stand out in this shot.

Thank you so much Grace, these are my favorite poppies! I tried to grow them in my yard but they didn?t do well for me at all, my daughter in law has them and they come back year after year.
