Just feeling real good today.

this is just so awesome BFF!

Your vision to capture not only the setting sun, but the waves crashing on the rocks is so nice!

Excellent shot!

    Aw. Muchisimus Gracious BFF. I truly appreciate your review and rating. I paid the price for this one BFF. The wave caught me off guard and completely washed over me. I looked like a drowned rat! But I kept shooting until the sun went down. Glad you are feeling good today ~ BFF

I imagine Poseidon to emerge from the white foam at any moment. How the waves hit the rocks is impressive. The reflection of the sunset colors on the foam is breathtaking. The sea indeed boils. The clarity of detail is extraordinary. The seascape is perfectly composed.

Goodness, what intriguing effects. This looks like instant freeze. I love the colors in the seascape. If the sun is behind, where does the light on the breaking wave in the foreground come from?

    Thank you so much Daphne for your wonderful review. The light on the breaking wave in the foreground was rather dim in the original photo. I lightened it and added a bit of color and sharpness to make it a little more dramatic.

this is a fantastic capture Steve; I'm not famiiar with all the mixed media used but I can recognize an outstanding work and result; the foam looks as if you poured a few tons of soap in the water; amazing lighting too;

    Thanks a lot Fred. This was one of a burst of 10 photos and the only big wave that generated all that foam. This particular wave caught me off guard and completely washed over me so I got drenched. This was taken in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico last week. Thanks again for your More than generous rating ~ Steve

This is awesome Steve! That sky is amazing. It provides the scene with so much color as the reflections in the ocean and rock are a nice touch. The churning water in the foreground has been well shown. Really nice eye pleasing work.

I like the title of the photo; it really helps magnify the elements of the picture, which seem pretty epic and full of life. The waves crashing, the dramatic contrast between the crag on the left and the brightness of the sky fuse together in a way that screams out adventure, quite possibly with Poseidon coming into the picture. The way you made the clouds curve like that add to the elements of this dramatic photo, and the crisp edges of everything give this painting a masculine and adventurous context.
