This is a nice shot! I like how his bill is open and the way his dangling toes are spread out. This is a great view of the wingspan with nice detail of the feathers. The colors look very nice too.

Magnificent! I bet you might have benefited from a trip to the chiropractor after taking this overhead shot! And you got both wings in the photo -- well done! My admiration!

Nice capture of the Great Egret with a wide wing span. Natural colors and tones in the scene. Good lighting, nice detail, sharp focus, good DoF, and well balanced photo and nicely composed in the frame. Overall, a very Beautiful Wildlife Photograph, well done Barbara!

This is a perfect stop-in-action. The bird is in pin-sharp focus. The details of its body, especially the feathers of its wings are excellently refined. The photo is well exposed. I appreciate the realism of color and light very much. The bird is well paced at the right of the frame. The composition is balanced.

WOW what a great over head shot - these wings nearly look transparent and the entire body structure stands out in perfection even with the strong boons in the wings - a very special shot , well framed , well zoomed, clear and sharp with perfect contrast and lighting
I thing you got him in the perfect second is the most extreme body position possible
A good composition with a strong initial impact , well presented

A beautiful shot. This perspective is great and the exposure for the white feathers is very good. The entire bird is very sharp and it is nice to see the bone structure in his wings.

Fantastic in flight capture
Showing superb stop action and great white balance Control in the bright sun. I am tiring of the members who have been here for years still producing photos with blow out or blue hues. It is possible to shoot a white bird in the bright sun and get their true and Natural colors like this. White balance and focus are crucial to understand in Photography.
You prove it here. Correct settings give you beautiful shots like this.
I love the wingspan showing the bone structure of the wings.
Nice work behind your lens Barbara. It shows you are learning and growing rather than just posting.
Well done ;)

A very nice shot indeed. One of the few birds that I can recognise and name, they are so elegant and graceful. I like this one, composition is perfect as is the focus and it is at the same time interesting and beautiful to look at.
Well done.

This is a wonderful shot of the bird in flight! You have timed it well. The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

WOW! Such a wonderful image Barbara. The stop action is perfect in capture g the full extension of the wings and the feet trailing in flight.

The focus is sharp on the wings and the position in the frame in spot on. The blue background is an excellent enhancer. Nicely done Barbara ~ Steve

P.S. The one thing that kept me from awarding this wonderful image a six star is that the whites just behind the eye and in the bend of the neck are a bit bright and washed out which loses the sharpness that you captured in the wings. Whites are so difficult to control and get right I know. Great photo Barbara ~ Steve
