A well captured macro of this Firebug. The details are sharp and clear while the colors are accurately rendered.

We have a similar species in the United states (The Red Bug, Scantius aegyptius). They too gather in large numbers in the Spring around my house. Nice work ~ Steve

It is as striking as the change of the Site color scheme despite the low lit condition.
Sharply focused.
Fine features & smooth textures.
Fantabulous up close & personal.

Dramatic illumination.

Thanks for sharing...

I've seen these here in Las Vegas, NV. Great focus and framing. I'm too grossed out on bugs to hold one so kudos to you for holding one. I love the detail on these firebugs and the bud you're holding :)

A great macro of this brightly colored interesting bug! I see wonderfully sharp detail throughout your wonderful photo including the barbs on the legs and "hairs" on the hollyhock. Very nicely composed and presented, the colors are beautiful and the lighting's perfect. Very interesting and informative artists notes. A very well taken photo!

You captured very sharp detail of this bug's markings and face, He has an interesting pattern and I like his color which is also well captured. The fine hairs of the plant stand out well too.

The textures from both the bug and the cactus jump out at me, and they are great subject matter to capture with this great technology we have as artists. These textures provide substance and weight to this photo, supported by the contrast as well. Also great how the greens and reds come together and create this vivid appeal to this natural photo.

Hey Susan! You have captured the details of the firebug really nicely. The designs on its back are really intriguing. When I was putting myself through school I worked as a custodian and had to clean a building that was infested by these little guys haha. Thank you for the walk down memory lane.
