What a great capture! How far away from this guy were you standing? We always see lions on the prowl or sitting like king of the jungle. This one made me laugh. In a good way. All elements are present and excellent.

Its a reminder that lions are cats too same as a house cat just bigger ,ill stick with my house cat.Great photo he's defiantly having lazy days in the shade

Ha this lion is acting like a beloved dog all stretched out on his back in the shaded area. I don't think ive ever seen a lion rest like this. Nice capture and hope he's not looking for lunch!

It looks like he found a little patch of shade to snooze in. I don't know that I have ever seen a shot of a lion lying on his back before. He does seem oblivious to the world.

Time to just relax and let our dinner digest! Maybe he's waiting for someone to rub his belly,too-lol!Love it's position,my dog likes to lie around like that. Well timed photo that is nicely focused with good details,I see that his eyes are half closed as it takes a nap,enjoying the warmth while resting in the shade. A great photo!

Must have been a hot day and what else he can do with his tummy full!:) I have seen lions in Gir forest Gujarat lazing around like this especially in the summer months. Good observation. Fine looking shot! Thanks for sharing!
