This is an excellent drawing, and looks like a painting. You blend the colors very seamlessly, and have developed your skill at a high level. You have great use of contrast with the lights and darks exactly where they are needed. The recipients of this portrait must have really been happy. I especially like how you even nailed the textures on the clothes, you paid attention to detail on every square inch of this drawing. This looks like you have spent a lot of time on this, and the quality of it shows.

Lovely portrait, Linda, and I'm sure your sister was thrilled with this. Excellent blending of pencil work. Great use of light and shade. You've captured the feeling of love between the two of them very well. Great composition. Suzanne

Hi Linda, thank you for posting another of your amazing drawings, you absolutely blow me away with your absolute skill!
This is a beautiful couple , obviously devoted to each other, the expression on his face shows that he is relaxed, comfortable and very content , I like the way he wraps his arms around her. I can see that she adores him , you bring this couple to life and show their emotion so very well, I love her smile. They are both well drawn with realistic shape and structure , well applied features , amazing work to show their hair.
well arranged against the black background, well presented! I'm positive that this will be cherished forever!

Well, you are the queen of the graphite pencil. And form. And composition. And shading. And line. What else can be said? This is a beautiful traditional and emotional drawing. Reasons for my five star vote.

Thank you so much, Carl. I truly appreciate your review. I haven't been reviewing so much lately. My heart is not into it. My precious daughter died a few months ago and I just can't get into to motivation to do anything.

You are welcome Linda. Once upon a time I was a counselor. It might help if you found a grief counselor or a grief self help group. It takes time and understanding from others help a lot, like in a grief group.
