Nice image.
Would like a bit more space in front of the bird. Nice nondistracting, soft background. The wing feathers are a bit too bright because of light reflection and a polarizing filter would darken and provide more detail. Focus is right on centered on the eye as it should.

Thanks for your positive feedback - and will look into polarizing filter :)

I like seeing the different birds that you find since I have not seen many of them before. This guy has a lovely cinnamon color and I like the colors of his head. This is a nice view of his shape and size.

This is a really lovely close up of this interesting bird. Other than the white on the head I would wonder if it might be some type of robin. You captured all the textures so well!

Well done Mary in capturing such a great close up shot of this White Browed Woodswallow. The lovely lighting allows us to see his colours and details so well with the various shades of grey and deep apricot. Nice bokeh background. This is a sharp and focused image and well composed. Great viewing!

Nice catch! I like how the bird perches on the crooked branch. The photo is perfectly focused and exposed and has good depth. The bird is sharp, showing well refined detail. Colors and light are realistic. The close square framing is adequate. The composition is balanced.

This is a bird that I have not seen before.
The woodswallow is beautiful and you have photographed it very well.
I like his pose , I see good detail over every part of this bird.
Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is managed well. Colors and tones are beautiful and appear natural.
Well composed and presented!

Mary,
A beautiful picture of the White Browed Swallow perched in what I think might be a Eucalyptus/Gum tree, with more in the background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting to show off it's beautiful plumage to best advantage, taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

    Hi Mary,
I hope & pray you are not in danger from the dreadful forest fires blazing in New South Wales. They look dreadful on the TV.

We are in South Australia but just about every state except Tasmania currently have out of control bushfires. I live in suburbs so not in danger but 23 fire volunteers were injured and lots of property lost since Friday. All Australia is praying for rain.

Cool.Mary!
That's another pleasantly 'unusual' ( at least to this 'Yank' ) type of a bird and it's a fine looking picture of it too!
'Good Show',my friend!
( I hope you'll post photos from inside of that old cemetery too! Those places fascinate me! : ) )

A new one to me too. A nicely cropped shot with good detail on his head and a nice profile that shows where his name comes from. Great colors and a beautiful eye.

What a nice find.. I cannot wait to see one of your bee eaters.. that would really be an exciting find.

Your colors and clarity are top notch here.
