Your mixed media changes are perfect. You could have fooled me. If I had not read your comments, I would think that is an original from the 1940. The monochromatic emphasizes the vintage feel. The photo is perfect focused and has good depth. The couple is well placed in the frame. The composition is balanced.

Delightful photo that really brings the past to life, especially with the sepia tone. What is that, that looks like a riding crop viewer's right leaning against the bench? Were some cavalry used at the beginning of the second World War? Happy Holidays! Thanks for sharing your great post!

A very fine shot that captures the mood as well as the dress of the times very well. The costumes are great and I like the picnic basket and the shrubbery in the background. Best of luck in the contest.

Wow you could have fooled me. this looked like it was right out of 1940. I like the coloring you used leads to more authenticity to this event.

This looks like a scene from a 1940's movie, I like their apparel, and the basket on the ground near the woman.
Well photographed with good focus, this image is clear , nice B& W to support the subject. Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Your transformation to the golden B& W was an excellent choice as it send a message that we have gone back in time while at the same time making the setting realistic, lifelike and nostalgic. Your photo should do well in the contest as it is on target in every regard.

A beautiful & memory stirring picture of the couple during tea while taking a break dressed up in the fashion of the 1940s just as my relatives were when I was a Child returning to England after the War from Southern Rhodesia where my Pilot instructor father had been posted for the Duration. The sepia finish adds to the nostalgic feeling. Artistic composition framing and lighting taken with an artist's eye & superb camera & editing techniques and sharp focus.
