Another pleasing painting done in pastels. This is elegant and the nude looks graceful. The back lit coloured background makes the figure pop! Oveall an unmissable painting. Thanks for sharing!

The anatomy is proportioned nicely and the muscles are well defined. The colors and shading are very nice. My problem is the ball of her nose. It needs a contrast of back shadow to make it clear against her hair and or cheek. It's hard to tell clearly. Otherwise it's very well done.

Thank you for your five star vote and your comments. As to the comment about the ball of the nose, I pulled the picture up on my computer, enlarged it and saw what you mean. I will be correcting that in the painting. And thank you for pointing that out.

I try to be both honest and helpful, or at least say what I feel needs a little tweaking and I don't know how to fix it. I'm not an artist. Good luck with her.

I have found that most artists want only accolades. As for me, I appreciate an honest critic. Had you not mentioned her nose, it would have been a problem for me when I take this to the oil painting level. I simply didn't see what you pointed out, so thank you. And as a side note. I am not on this site chasing a ranking or some site trophy, etc. You gave me exactly the kind of thing I need.

Hi, Carl. The human physique is difficult to do. Have you seen jesuel's work? He also does pastels of females including nudes. I see similarities. I like the glow behind her. The torso looks a bit too wavy beneath the protruding rib cage. I am terrible with shadow. But, with the light behind her, should there be some shadow on the blanket? Great job on the form. Thank you for sharing
