Very nice portrait capture of a eight point Whitetail Buck sniffing the wind. Good focus, nice detail, good DoF, correct WB, natural colors and tones in the scene, well balanced and framed and nice catch light in the eye. Overall, a Very Nice Wildlife Photograph, well done!

This is a beautiful portrait. I like how the buck sticks its nose in the air to sniff and the goldenrod hangs over his nose. The buck is impressive. Its antlers are beautiful. The photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. The background shows the environment, but is not distracting. I appreciate the realism of light and color. The portrait is well framed. The composition is balanced.

Nice capture of this eight point buck, as he sniffs the wind.
Well focused, he is clear to view. Well managed exposure, his colors and tones appear natural, I appreciate the clear eye!
Well composed close up, well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

This is a nice pose. You can tell that he's sniffing the air. The antlers look very nice with the rich color saturation and the textures showing so well.

A very good entry into the competition posted here for us to enjoy! Your fine and traditional composition grants us an enjoyable portrait view of your deer. Like the eye gleam and wet nose. Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

A beautiful picture of this eight Point Stag sniffing the breeze for scents of a Doe. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

What a majestic stag, right in his element. Beautiful coloring. I don't recall if the black band on the lower jaw is the same on all, or if the nose marking varies some from buck to buck. I love the white chin and throat.... Thanks for sharing this professional quality photograph of His Highness!!!

thanks for a wonderful review! Yes,the amount of black will vary,as will the amount of white on the face;some will have a lot of white, especially around the eyes.some less on the throat or around the muzzle, this one is unique and easy to identify as he has the extra spot of white below the throat, and has little around the eyes.

Cool! : )
That's a great looking portrait photograph of this handsome creature displaying it's impressive rack of antlers as it 'checks the breeze'!
It makes for a very 'Good Show' of a picure indeed!

Nice separation from the background. It appears as the focus is placed on the nose in lieu of the eye although the overall sharpness is not too bad. Portions of the fur are over exposed losing all detail. The image lacks tonal contrast that keeps the subject from achieving
a clear dominance. Catch light in the eye is nice.
