He is so beautiful and I hope he is rehabilitated and eventually set free, you have photographed him well, I see good detail over every part, your title is perfect as his pose implies he is a bit sad, well focused, this image is clear, lighting is managed well, colors and tones are natural. Well composed and presented!

I hope he will eventually be released but know some injuries never permit them to survive in the wild. Another lovely shot showing the bowed head of this regal bird.

Eileen, this is great! I like the position of the hawk! The light tells the story. There's a blue sky visible, but the bird can't fly free yet. The shadow of the cage links on the bird make sad feeling. But hopefully, he will go through the rehab and healing process and will be able to fly again. So, without light the whole story won't be seeing. Valuable contest entry! Best of luck!

A great pose with very nice detail in his face. The shadow of the fencing is very interesting and is nicely reinforced in the background. It offers one explanation for the downcast expression. Good luck in the contest.
