Suzanne, this is such interesting and so nicely presented acrylic painting.
The colors, details and composition is so well done, the details and color blending spectacular! The way you combine the background with the blue colors in the flower is were nice.
Thank you so much for sharing l

A very good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and full composition grants us an enjoyable view of your beautiful fluffy bird. Those manipulations worked very well. Well created and good luck!

This bird is fascinating. I see its head and back near the upper margin. The huge bird seems to protect several small animals and other birds beneath its wings and belly. The colors are superb. The lovely ball of feathers is perfect placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Cool,Suzanne!
It looks thrillingly Exotic indeed,my friend! : )
It makes me think of what one of the giant prehistoric ground-dwelling Phorusrachid types of the Miocene geological time period might have looked like!
'Good Show'!

It is always nice to see alternate approaches. You have captured the essentials of the abstract subject. Instinctive. Thanks for sharing! Good luck!

All those feathers! Lol very cool Suzanne. I notice you hadn't posted anything lately..glad your back(thumbs up). The facial is good. All those strokes gives it a 3D feel to it. The shading is great.. the details is great. The blend of the colors is great. The depth is excellent. The creation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Creative approach and awesome work overall.

Many thanks, Mark, for your great review. Days seem to fly by in this pandemic what with video chats with friends and family and long phone calls, etc so finding it difficult to get enough time to paint! Hopefully will soon return to more normal times. Suzanne

I'm with you on that! The only advantage I have is I take my pens everywhere. Even though Florida is one of the few states that kept thier schools open all year..I still missed out on some of my grandkids concerts and competition since it was closed to the public. I'm usually there rooting for them. At least my daughter video tape it for me. I have a granddaughter that's going to graduate in couple years.. I want to be jumping up and down like a happy fool on that day and want to be there!!

Ah, that's great. Glad you've been able to keep in touch with your family. I'm in my youngest son's "bubble" so see them every week and my daughter in Australia and eldest son who lives down south ring or video call every day. Don't know what we'd have done without today's technology!

Suzanne,
A beautiful imaginary image of this exotic bird in flight over water. Created by your artist's eye for composition, knowledge of paints & other artist's fluids, beautiful choice of colours & knowing how they might react with one another in bringing this bird to wing flapping life.

I think this is awesome! I like how well the shape of the bird stands out and the shapes that you created for the plumage look great with attractive color combinations.
