Lovely capture Mary ;)
DOF is dreamy soft, focus on this flower is Fab and exposure/ white balance is controlled well.
Great colors and fine details.

This is an impressive close up. I am impressed by the refinement of detail. I could count those seeds. The photo is excellent focused and exposed. I appreciate the realism of color and light. The Lotus is well placed into the frame. The composition is balanced.

Mary, this is drop dead gorgeous! the focus is perfect with clarity in every part of this flower.

Looks like a shower head and I've never seen something like this.

A very good nature shot of a plant that is very strange to me posted here! Your fine, full and central composition does a good job of showing it to us. Like those delicate fronds. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely taken!

a cyber six mary for this wonderful macro capture of the lotus seed pod surrounded by the stamens; outstanding sharp details; I like the seeds emerging from their hole;

I think the seed pod from a Lotus is just as beautiful as the flower, and especially all the stamens are captured well. The light is falling so lovely on the pod, and With the softened background it is standing out from it in an excellent way.

The Focus is spot on and Sharp showing such Clear and well defined details in the stamens, and the exposure is Perfect.

The tight framing Works so well and the pod has got a very good placement in the photo. Indeed a beautiful and well taken photo Mary, and With an excellent DOF.

A really interesting macro image of a lotus seed pod...isn't nature amazing!
Bright yellow centre and seed pods, quite a contrast to the pretty pink petals. Excellent clarity and focus, thanks for sharing Mary.

Mary,
A beautiful & interesting picture of this Lotus seed case just after the petals have fallen leaving a circle of stamens that will also soon fall off . Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

If there is a seed beneath each of those nodules on the surface of the pod then this one should have 27. A very nice shot with beautiful colors and meticulously sharp detail.

Hi, Zilyram. Beautiful photo. I learn so much about nature on this site. Do you live in Asia? I think the lotus is common there. So much I don't know. Great composition and sharp image. Great job. Thank you for sharing

    Thanks Pamela - we live in Adelaide South Australia - the Botanical Gardens have an area where the Lotus Bloom each January first time it hasn't been blowing a gale when we visited so was glad to get some good photos. :)
