How did you ever get those dramatic clouds to stay still? I thought this was painting until I enlarged it on my screen. Congratulations on the Recognized award. Well deserved for this beautifully composed image with such soothing colors.

A gorgeous scene captured with the lone fisherman. A perfect exposure and white balance. Good contrast in your scene and love the explosive clouds. Very well photographed in good lighting, sharp focus, and outstanding details and clarity in your image. A gorgeous scene with an artistic composition and good depth of field. Thanks for sharing! So sorry to hear about the fires in Australia.

A great scene that is very nicely composed. I like those clouds and think the colors are excellent although I might darken the legs of the fisherman where the background colors seems to bleed through.

Hey there Chris! What a great photograph you have captured of this lone fisherman! The light you have captured in the reflections off the water and clouds is eye catching, it provides a wonderful backdrop. the different textures in the work are awesome and keep the viewers attention. The composition is well framed and balanced. I hope he caught something! Thanks for sharing, it is a great photo.

It is indeed a beautiful scene you have pictured here Chris, and I especially like the dramatic looking clouds and the fine shine you have captured in the sea. I like that you also managed to include a man Fishing, because this adds a lot of interest, and he is standing out so well from the background.

The photo is Nice and Sharp, and it is Clear and well defined details to be seen all over. Also the exposure is spot on, and the colors so Nice and Natural.

The format and framing is just Perfect and With the guy Fishing placed off to the right, it is a very good Balance in the composition. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and With an excellent DOF.

Your photo has a rather paint-like appearance. Would you mine to reveal your camera settings, so we could learn from them? The photo is well focused and exposed. Light and colors are realistic. The land-tongue and the fisherman are intriguingly placed at the right. The seascape is well composed and framed.

    Thank you Cleo....I use a Panasonic DMC-GX7 camera often on automatic.
    This shot was taken April 2015 so I don't have the camera settings.

    You're very welcome. :o)
    Thank you for the information. "Automatic" is a camera setting. You might need to add camera settings when you post in contests. The hosts of contests may demand camera settings. In this case "camera was set on automatic" works.

an excellent capture of this fisherman alone in the world, waiting for a big fish;
good framing, very sharp focus; colors a bit oversaturated;
