This is a very nice painting of your friend's A- frame cabin! The colors are great! There is so much great detail in this and that gives the viewer a lot to see! The blending and shading are very well done! Great job ! Lori

A precious artwork as a gift to a friend...
He must be grateful for this piece!
Natural colors in varied textures.
Fantabulous foreground angle with a bright tree trunk & an equally vibrant foliage.
Nice realistic shadow rendition.
Diminishing perspective.
Thanks!

This is captured and rendered very well. You have given this rendering great character. Your detail is lovely. I am very sure Geoff was or will be very pleased.
You have brought his many memories back to life and I am sure he appreciates that.
Great color. I have never heard of the paints you used here but they worked very well.
Great job. Good luck in the contest!

A lot brighter and greener than your earlier post of the Winter view. The colors are well blended and the cottage looks welcoming. Nice job.

It was a nice idea to create a pair of paintings for your friend. I remember the winter painting. This work here is indeed a nice counter part. The colors and the light whole painting are an indication of summer. The visual impact is emotional. The viewer imagines birdsong and the humming of bees.
The style matches the winter painting correctly. Perspective and proportions are realistic The painting is well composed and framed.

This is a wonderful and cozy scene, it looks like a page from a storybook, the logs in the foreground draw us in and call attention to the cabin that looks like an A-Frame, I love your placement of the trees and their shapes and structures with fresh springtime leaves, this shows the natural and rugged landscape that surrounds the cabin, cabin is in a nice placement in your scene, this is very warm and inviting. The colors you chose I feel are perfect and really make this scene. Very well created with a good show of depth, well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Thank you. Geoff is writing his memoirs and I believe he is using this as it is his pride and joy build.

I think this painting of Geoff's Log Cabin is even better than the other you painted. It is probably because of a nicer foreground, and also from another season. I really like the color pallet you have used, and also the warmth of the light.
The brush work is very good and the use of high lights Perfect.
The format and framing is Perfect and With the placement of the cabin, their trees and the foreground, it is a very fine Balance in the composition. I think this is a lovely and well done painting, and I wish you Luck With the contest.

Cool,Brenda!
Your painting of this 'A-Frame' cabin up in the wilds of Canada ( Is it in the NorthWest Territories? ) is very attractive and enjoyable to look at,my friend!
It definitely makes for a 'Good Show' of a picture!

Hi Sean thanks for a great review its a blind comp and my name is on ! Wondered if you can take it out... much appreciated. I didn't intend it to be blind but don't know if I can open it to view contestants. I think you are right about the location. I will check with Geoff.
