This first of all calls attention to the huge difference between an artist and a photographer , the photographer has to find a scene, and photograph it, with correct camera settings there is not much work beyond that once the image is loaded onto the computer. Here, you had to create the scene with much consideration as to size, shape and dimensions, texture, color, light and shadowed areas, as well as creating the exact proportions and depth in your scene.
This is a beautiful scene showing this view of the grand canyons, you have accomplished nice depth, this appears to go on forever, the sky is alive with the clouds that move across over the blue , the formations here are beautiful and very realistically created with a nice show of their textures, I like also the colors and tones you have chosen and applied. I appreciate the light and shadows that show the depth of the canyons. This is well executed , it's a pleasure to view ! Well presented!

Bravo! You have created a wonderful and magnificent piece of art! Complete artist notes describe how it was created (usually I have problem with explanation of the process). Realistic colors and shapes of the canyon. Definitely, a lot of texture! Great depth! Perfect composition! I see a possible contest winner here! Sorry for not having any sixes to award this one as it deserves! Good luck! Thanks for being creative! !!

Hi Carl!
I haven't Painted in decades but many of those problems that you speak of in your notes apply to Pen & Pencil Artists like myself too!
Your painting ,which gives us an interesting view into a section of this famous canyon, is enjoyably impressive,my friend!
'Good Show'! : )

As a non-artist it is sometimes difficult to understand the work that goes into creating the painting and your explanation has helped a lot. This shows the detail and blending of color captures the light and shadow extremely well; thanks for sharing such an amazing work.
