Suzanne, I cannot tell you how those fires effects everyone, even in the states.. I can only imagine what your daughter and grandson went through, not knowing if they could ever see their home again.

Your depiction of the fire is truly a representation of how the fires makes someones blood run like chilled ice at the thought of it.

I love how you got the placement of flames so perfectly with perfect colors to give it that chilling touch.

So glad your family is safe.

Wow! What a beautiful piece you have created! I love this so much! The crackling at the top adds such texture! The line through the center where you started to pull away from it adds distance giving it a gorgeous look! Well done!

A beautiful & dramatic image of the flames consuming the tinder dry forests & undergrowth in Australia at present the flames reflected on the water in the foreground adds to the fear those viewing them in reality. Created by your artist's eye for composition knowledge of paints colours and other artist's fluids & how they may react when they come in contact with one another in bringing this scene to life.

Great abstract impression of the devastating fires here in Australia. (I have noticed that a few FAR members have made artwork as a tribute). Your image certainly is flame like and stretching high as have the fires. Nice realistic reflection in the black lake. Thank you Suzanne and I am glad your daughter and grandson are safe.

Many thanks, Chris, for your great review. I didn't want to use the usual bright fire colours as a sign of respect. Suzanne

It is very realistic - minus the red glow of the flames which are leaping up and taking so much in their path. So much of our country has been devastated by the fires and over 20 people have lost their lives in an effort to stop the inferno. Heavy rain is the best thing that can happen at this time.

Hi Suzanne!
Those wildfires that are devastating large sections of 'the Land of Oz' are truly some 'Bad Business',aren't they?
( They're a frightening harbinger of what might be the fate of the rest of the
world if we Humans don't start taking things like 'Global Warming' and Over Population more seriously than we do! )
Your interpretation of that inferno 'down under' is impressive and interesting!

This is a different inferno. Fires are usually predicted with red flames, but your ice-cold white accentuated by black, gold and blue are way more chilling and look way more dangerous. The artwork is thought out well and is excellently composed.

Its a brilliant result using your method and style. It has such movement and a deathly colour that speaks of life being attacked. A super interpretation of this terribke tragefy Australia is suffering. I am pleased your daughter and her family are safe. Your notes are well written and informative about how people are being affected.

Oh my, how impressive. When I saw the title I expected the reds, yellows, oranges, etc. What an enjoyable visual shock it was to see it this way. You have such a talent my lady. If this was the size of four feet by four feet it would be so commanding that it would simply overpower a large room. May I save this in my favorites for the purpose of using it as a reference for doing that large abstract? Reasons for my six star vote.
