You know, this is a really nice photograph. I like the placement of the duck, the color of the water and of course the colors of the mallard. The duck's eye looking straight back at me, the viewer, adds a special connection of the one on one level. Very nice indeed to include the viewer as a participant in the painting. Reasons for my five star vote.

The water is so tranquil, very undisturbed by anything, even the duck swimming in it. This is a very tranquil photo, and it shows me the harmony in nature, between animals and their environment. The photo is simple, but sends a powerful message in the way it portrays the peaceful aspect of nature, how it can be like this, although it can sometimes be the exact opposite.

A pretty good nature shot posted here! Your fine and central composition gives us an enjoyable look at handsome mallard. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely taken!

Cool,Barbara!
The water is exactly where Evolution designed these creatures to be and your fine looking picture illustrates that wonderfully!
I'm liking the rich ( but not 'overdone looking' coloration a lot! : )

The mallard is a huge favorite of mine! You have photographed this mallard drake, he is well placed in the frame on the diagonal, well focused, the image is clear, exposure is well managed , his colors and tones appear natural. I like his reflection too. Well composed and presented!

The reflection of light on the green head is striking. The photo is well focused and exposed. The photo is throughout sharp. The vivid colors are realistic. The reflection is interesting. The Duck is well placed at the right of the frame. The framing is adequate. The composition is balanced.
