The overall blue tone gives a sense of cold even though it is a balmy 14 degrees. It is interesting how the water and the sky almost match in color.
The land and trees dividing the sky and water make for a nice line of demarcation. The trees and the snow attest to the season and the weather.

You live in a very interesting area and offer so many interesting photos along with a good story. This has a very nice overtone, it's blue and it's May be. I can see the cold and the scene illustrates it. Very good positioning and construction of shot. It has an effective silhouetted skyline that reflects in the water creating an overall very pleasing picture.

A beautiful picture of the Eklutna Tailrace in winter it's banks snow covered & the leafless trees in silhouette against the blue sky both of which are reflected on the Tailrace. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
