A tranquil visually soothing grand vista capture of this placid lagoon!
The reflections enhanced the serene scene.
Fantabulous colors.
Cute silhouettes added perspective of scale...

What an interesting color combination in the sky.
It makes for an equally gorgeous reflection. These clouds are so unique!
I like to think Blake Shelton wrote the song "God's Country" for Alaska :-) well done as usual Pat!

They fish for salmon? Do you know how expensive salmon is at my supermarket? Once a year maybe. They do thin sliver ofcuts of salmon and at christmas I allow myself one of those packs! beautiful scene. I wonder why it is mainly men who fish? continuation of man the hunter and woman the gardener? Beautiful colours.

Thank you so much! Yes, we fish for King Salmon , red salmon and silver salmon, it?s fresh right out of Kachemak bay! Sometimes seals come into the lagoon with the tides!

A lovely scene that reminds me of Seshadri's artwork. He paint A that tyoe of comour pallet and here you have captured the real thing of sky reflecting on water. Lagoons are so interesting, for many years I lived on the edge of a natural one and remember beautiful skies like this. Here you have captured vibrant colours offset by the blackish land silhouettes and eve caught the small one of the guy fishing. It's a super capture.. I nice reminder whilst you see out your cold winter of what's ahead.

Very nice color gradients in the sky, with lots of variety. The blues going to green the yellow then pink, they look awesome. The reflection in the water does a great job at mirroring it, and the coastline's silhouette disrupts that flow just the right way so that it complements it and gives weight to the photo. A very nice composition.

Pat,
A spectacular northern night scene with silhouetted fishermen on the shore in the foreground. The sun on the horizon adding pink & a gold hue to the clouds floating overhead in the still blue sky that is reflected on the mirror still waters framed by the dark silhouetted tree covered land around the lagoon & a distant hill. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

The colors of the sky are perfectly reflected in the lagoon and I like the near triangular shape. Beautiful blues and subtle pink yellow makes for a very interesting color combination. :)

Beautiful sunset showing off the fishers and their gear as they all try for that one big one they can boast about.

Your colors are truly amazing and love the silhouettes that stand out so well.

HI Pat, Those colors are something else... I think the word id breathtaking. With the smooth water you got a great reflection of the sunset. Very pretty to the eye. I almost didn't notice the fishermen. LOL Love the angular view of the sunset! Worth a six in my book any day! :o) Nancy
