So cute with that white thing on its forehead!
Candid avian portrait showing fluffy plumage with nice contrasting colors...
That dead branch & twig enhanced the overall impact.

Thanks for sharing...

Mary, he is so adorable!

what bright, vivid colors to be seen on this little one.

Your perfect background is a testament to how photos should be. Smooth and does not take away from the little guy.

Mary,
A beautiful picture of this Australasian Robin the first one I've ever seen a picture of. Looks about the size of ours but apart from the red breast the plumage is very different, it stands out clearly from the softly blurred background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

A very enjoyable and interesting nature photo posted here! Your fine and central composition provides us with a good look at your robin. Never seen one with white patch on the forehead before! Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

A brilliant capture of this adorable robin. A first for me too. Mary, you seem to have a natural talent for capturing birds. (I wish I had a 6* to give you). Lovely lighting gives us a clear look at the wonderful details you have captured here of its fluffed up feathers, the orange colour breast, black face and white spot. Great focus on the eye too. Really like the composition and the light neutral background, this allows the robin to 'pop'. A pleasure to view!

In the spring I go to a spot in Ohio to catch the warbler migration. Every year I find one or two that I have never seen before. It is a real thrill. This is a very nice shot with the bird well posed out in the open. Great details and fine colors.

What a prettily colored bird,I like that pop of orange on the breast as well as the cute spot of white contrasting with it's black head. An overall well focused photo, good catchlight in the eye and a nice non distracting diffused background. I bird too,and I know exhilaration of seeing a new bird. A very well composed photo, very beautiful!

This is such an adorable little bird, it's a first for me as well! I love that bright orange breast, it appears to be puffed up, the black head feathers also look quite fluffy, it's an interesting white group of feathers on its head between its eyes. I see good detail over every part of this bird and really appreciate that clear eye which is more difficult to accomplish on the black feathers. Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is well managed, the colors and tones are natural, it's a nice pose n the branch and the neutral background is perfect. Well presented!
