Love it when the finally get in a position with no stick or other things to upset the view - I am hopeless at editing so prefer a clear shot. This is very good with sharp focus and excellent color and white balance.

    Mary,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Robin watching me from the Fuchsia bush. I'm hopeless at cloning so seldom even try

A cute photo of your cute robin,it's great when they sit out in the open with no distractions in the way,I run into that same problem with my deer,it's either weeds or branches! The focus is beautiful,i see lovely details in this sweet bird's plumage and a nice catchlight in the eye. Very well framed, the orange feathers really draws our eyes in. The background color mimics the rest of the bird's plumage and is very complimentary. A wonderful photo!

A cute & candid capture of this fluffy ball of soft plumage.
These birds seem to be forever looking young!

Sharply focused facial details despite subdued illumination.

Thanks for sharing...

They were probably waiting for you to put some food out for them! Your fine, full and classical composition gets one of them very well indeed. Like the detail in the puffed up pose. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

You are right Susan, no sticks in front, and this is therefore a great shot of this little charmer. He looks so lovely all puffed up, and especially the eye is well captured. He is also standing out from the background in an excellent way.

Your Focus was spot on and Sharp and it is indeed Clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers. The light is falling so lovely on the bird, and the exposure is Perfect. I also appreciate the Nice and Natural colors.

The format and framing is very good and I like the slight vignette you have added. The Robin has got a very good placement within the frame, and this makes for a good and well balanced composition. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo, and With an excellent DOF.

This little chap has a pensive look. Makes you wonder how birds and animals think, i think they must... why not. It has a nice warm feeling when I look at this. It has a good clear image of your main focus and the immediate twigs which act as a good framing. I like your slightly subdued colours I think made so by the vingrette you mention. Overall a pleasure to view.
