Cool action shot Fred!
I enjoy the color of the fish and the ripples in the water.
Good focus and framing.
Good hustle!

WOW! A real show-down, before meal. I like the clarity of the eye, facial expression and that fish. Great focus and you've provided sufficient negative space for you subject to move . Great timing, capturing this scene. Informative artist's notes.

I wonder if there was ever a fish that got away. The lighting in the photo looks like that bewitching hour in the evening that makes everything look better. That's a pretty big fish for such a small neck. I like the light that is shown on the water. Who should I pull for? The bird or the fish?

How wonderful to have these close by to photograph. This is a great stop action image of the cormorant,open-billed with the fish nicely suspended in between.Nice capture also of the distorted reflection in the rippled water which is making interesting abstract images in the lakes surface.

A very nice shot. The detail in the cormorant and his catfish are very good and the colors are beautiful. I like the look of the dark water and the great reflection it provides.

That is a cool tactic by the bird. Your timing is spot on. The picture has clarity. The colourd , light and shadows and the composition have worked well.

Fred
A beautiful stop action picture of this Cormorant in the process of tossing it's catch into the air before catching it head first to ensure it is swallowed head first. A sun beam highlighting it's head & yellow beak& red fish that is reflected on the rippled water along with the blue sky above. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Another good shot of the Cormorant with fish - have a similar one so know how difficult to get, mine is blurred - the composition is great with sharp focus.
