What an interesting fact and how clever are these birds to throw the fish and re-capture it. A great stop action capture Fred and good lighting in the right spot to view this fish in his mouth. Well composed and a great nature image Fred.

This looks a similar guy to the one with the questionable tongue. Lol. Its another good shot with clear colours and sharp detail and a bit of action. When I lived on a lagoon we had many storks and one day at low tide one caught a rather large fish and we saw it was choking. We tried to help and managed to remove the fish which survived but the stork didn't. Not wanting to waste such a large bird. Some of the guys took it and slow cooked it apparently it was horrid but a little Italian who had built a sea grass house in the dunes and lived like a hermit took it and enjoyed. However we found out later they are protected species and deaths are supposed to be reported. So everyone kept mum about this for years.
