A beautiful shot. Not your normal setting in which to find so many seagulls. The image is nicely cropped and shown in very fine natural colors.

The birds seem a little out of focus. The focus seems to be on the branches on the left.
Really cool looking scene though.

You seem to like birds a lot and they seem to reciprocate their feelings by posing for you. Another fine capture of the birds quietly sitting down for a change. Good effort!

I was thinking the same thing even before I read your note. I like that the seagulls and tree are fully focused and the background is a blur. It really brings your eye immediately to the point of interest. The lighting is good. All of the birds are kind of in a different position on the branch which is amusing. You always have great photos.

Strange, indeed! They're usually on the shore. This images, looks so natural and unedited. I like it. So pleasant to the eyes. Great exposure setting, and the five seagulls are well-placed in the frame.

Interesting, as you say, to see these seagulls perched in the tree by the lake - they look quite young so maybe they're waiting for the parents to bring food. I like how you filled the frame with them. Very good lighting and focus showing a nice sharp image. Great composition. Suzanne

This is a great photo of this unusual scene! The light falling on the seagulls illuminates them beautifully. I've never before seen seagulls in a tree. I usually see them on the beach or flying around in large parking lots.

At home they used to say its a sign of bad weather and storms at sea. We lived about 6 miles from the coast and they would fly in huge numbers inland and sit in trees or farmers fields. It is a busy photo but does capture the seagulls in line on a branch. I first saw this on my mobile and later loaded it to a large screen which really did it justice. It is quite beautiful. The colours are contrasting well and use of light peeping through branches seems to bring out the light feather details of your seagulls. Overall a very pleasing photograph especially when enlarged.

Fred,
A beautiful picture of these five Black Headed Gulls ( in the breeding season they have a dark brown/black crown) watching you from their perch in the tree. These Gulls are often seen quiet far inland. I remember seeing them on our Family Farm following my Father's tractor as he ploughed the fields in Autumn grabbing the earth worms the plough exposed. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
Susan
