A sad image.
A horrible aftermath.....
A sorrowful rendition. Monochromatic colors. Excellent details & features. Impressive setting & textures.
Better if there's really a burning flame for more impact...and votes!
Still an endearing image with natural concern...
Best of luck in the contest!
Thanks for sharing...

Thanks Dick - fortunately the Emergency Services People do not allow people into fire areas until completely safe - people may stay to try and save their own homes putting not only themselves but the firefighters at risk. The fires are currently out but more hot weather on way with risk high to extreme.

Yes, I understand...still an eye opener!

Looks like and sounds like you are having a hard time over there recently! Your fine image, strangely, reminds me of winter over here in the U.K.! Hope things settle down there before too long. Exposure and sharpness are good, well done!

Stark and sad but rather beautiful in a way. This photograph has a good balance between the darks of the trees and the lights of the ground. It also brings back the smell memory of the acid sting in the nose caused by burnt wood. Reasons for my five star vote.

Sad times, so many fires world wide, destruction and animals are to the fore. This lookslike a winter shot in sepia. No leaves. But we know it's not. You have caught the starkness, the loss of nature's colours, it is interesting. The angle of the road attracts you in. Well taken shot. And in a few months the miracle of regrowth will start and a different scene this will be.

A very atmospheric picture of the aftermath of the Bushfires in your beautiful country showing the complete devastation of the trees & bushes not to forget the unseen animals & birds that also burnt to death. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest.

This is an interesting composition. I like it!
It's unfortunate that this part of the forest was scorched. It provides a cautionary tale of "only you can prevent forest fires" ... Only you can photograph the aftermath of a natural disasters that is captivating. This is a bitter sweet scene. Well done!

This is a well captured scene showing the charred trees that still stand lining this path. It's terribly sad to see the aftermath of the fire . Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, the colors and tones are natural. Well composed and presented!

That's a very interesting picture,my friend!
A burned out area seen from a 'post fire' vantage point!
I can't say that it's a 'Good Show' as it most certainly doesn't depict one,but it's definitely impressive and it's something I'm glad that you've shared with us!
