I agree with all you have said, about the seed pods etc Love the fly drinking the water - but best of all I love the delicate colours yet very clear - and that shimmer of sunlight you caught on the seed pods. Looks like a very good camera on your smartphone.

Cool!
That's a fine looking picture of this pleasantly exotic blossom,y friend!
There's a cheerfully 'Dreamy' kind of tone to the picture and the insec that's exploring it's petals adds an extra element of interest to the scene! : )

Orchids are popular with photographers for one reason in my opinion: the blooms are gorgeous, with varied colors, and orchids have a petal complexity not easily matched by any other flower that size. This image reflects no beauty. The back end of a fly is not appealing, and the shape of the blossom is so droopy that it doesn't even look like an orchid. We've all taken photos that "don't work." This is one of them.

Oh I am sad you don't see the beauty I did. I am an artist first and take shots for reference and this for me was perfect tiny and peeping out from a ragged hedgerow in a naturalist way. I don't photo blooms for their perfection. Perfection is in the eye of the beholder. However I loved your critique it shows an opposite view and that is helpful understood and appreciated so thank you for your time and thoughts. I have just upgraded to a camera I am getting really interested in photographing along with my art so all this type of comment is very useful.
