Here in florida, the summer means intense heat and terrible storms... I'll keep my winter a while longer :)

sometimes when I watch these beautiful sceneries in Alaska, I do wonder about how cold you feel or don't feel. As a child refugee, we had few clothes and remember that feeling of cold. Hunger, if you are born into it, you just don't notice, but cold coming after summer you do! I was amazed to find some small roses left over from last summer. Beautiful photo of a dandelion, with its bright yellow, or is it?

Oh I wish it were too. So much grey skies not a normal winter in Germany. But here you have a memory of a dandelion. I love dandelions .. their form and their colour, the leaf shape and then their seeds. They have it all.. they can brighten a dark spot and cause havoc with their roots in a vegetable garden lol....Your photograph is delightful. The bloom is leaning reaching for light and sun. The light on petals and greenery is well caught and makes your captjmure artful. I m always looking at this type of capture because as an artist you can learn what to add to your paintings and know that it works.

Pat,
A beautiful picture of this much maligned Dandelion is golden face open to the sun with a bud beside it. They are attractive to Bees & Butterfies & other four legged creatures. I think if they came in fancy seed packets in the Garden Centre they might well be very popular. I have plenty in my lawn..I keep then in check by mowing before they set seed. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
