Visually soothing floral image showing minimal features.
Zenplistic presentation.
Subtle lighting...
Diffused focusing.
Nice framing.
Nice perspective & narrow DOF.
Thanks for sharing...

Thanks a million for your complementary review on this Mirabelle blossom. I live in Dublin, Ireland & we are blessed with a mild climate. We seldom get snow & if we do it's in inches rather than feet except in the mountains were it can be deeper. in 2010 & 13
I had a foot of snow in my garden that stayed around for almost three weeks. usually, it only stays a few days. the Gulf stream coming up from the Gulf of Mexico keeps us much warmer than might expect being as far north as Juneau in Alaska.

How lovely, Susan, to see the blossom which has grown from the cutting you planted. I like how you've shown this going across the frame. Such a pretty little blossom. Very good lighting and focus. Excellent composition. Suzanne

Your perspective in capturing the back lighting makes the bloom stand out very well against the soft background. Focus is sharp with well defined details in the bloom. Colors and tones are natural. Excellent camera techniques and good eye on this photo.

Hi Susan, I love the lone blossom on your plumb tree! I think what really makes it stand out id the buds on the branch. There is something about them that draws you inward. Lighting and focus are well done. I also like the reminder that spring is getting closer! Nice Job! :o) Nancy

How beautiful! This blossom is gorgeous. You used the natural light beautifully. It emphasizes the opening blossom and the buds. The photo is perfect focused and exposed. The colors are realistic. The branch is excellently placed into the frame. The composition is balanced.

After seeing your early blooms I went out to see if there were any buds on my trees and was surprised to see that the maples and cottonwood are starting to bud. Still have snow on the ground and freezing temps at night. A very nice shot that shows what I have to look forward to.

This is such a lovely sight! Your very first blossom on the mirabelle plumb tree. Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, the colors and tones are natural. Well produced whites! I like the way you captured this allowing a look at the branch and buds allowing a good sense of how the beautiful blossoms grow. Well composed and presented!
