I do like the angle of this shot it really shows more length of the pool than a straight on shot would do.Great view of the memorial and the Capitol in the distance. The lush colors are also a nice contrast to the water. Nicely done!

Such a lush green scene taken from an interesting angle. (I was there in March 2014 and there was no water and it was looking very cold.)
Great panoramic wide shot with so much distance covered, even seeing the US Capitol building.
Well captured Nik.

you found the perfect point of view to photograph the Lincoln Reflecting Pool in order to see also the Capitol in the far background; good framing and exposure;

The long view over the water to the obelisk is pleasant and intriguing. The people show that the area is frequently used by people who are seeking information and perhaps relaxation. The photo is well focused and exposed. The colors are realistic and details are refined. The POV is intriguing. The obelisk is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Think the people almost don,t look real in this,can,t think why but that said they do give the overall image a sense of scale in this,looks interesting to visit,did you take any from a different viewpoint...Brian

This is indeed quite very looooooong!
Vanishing viewpoint lends a greater depth...
A visually soothing monumental tourist attraction with a well kept lawn...
Great framing with the viewers' attention being directed to that tall obelisk on the left.
People are usually right sighted and its cross lateral meaning we see things nicely when they are on the left side of the visual plane...
Nice leading lines too!

A beautiful picture of the Lincoln Reflecting Pool in Washington DC taken from the front of the Lincoln Memorial. The Obilisc draws the eye to the end of the Pool where it pierces the blue sky with high flying white clouds. Beautiful composition framing and lightning taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus. I remember walking half way down one side of the pool to get a picture of the building housing Lincoln's massive stature inside, & the statement on the wall beside him, I was on the Hop on & Hop off your of the City.

A great shot. I like the composition with the Lincoln Memorial off to the side. It shows the reflecting pool very well and the people in the foreground give a good sense of the proportions.

It's quite shallow too!
I remember being distinctly disappointed about that on my first trip to my nation's capital city when I was a little kid! : )
That's definitely a nice looking picture,Nikman!
'Good Show',my friend!
