Interesting electrical discharges. The circles of light issuing forth the dreaded lighting bolts gives the whole piece a real charge. The warmth of the light gives a glow. Not bad for black and white. The feeling of scene to me is in vivid color. Nice job.

An interesting monochromatic feel MKFlood. The pointillism must take forever! It's almost like two eyes crying lightning too! Maybe that's apt for 2020 ;)
(A PS note from a newie to an oldie: I see it has been posted from long ago - I didn't know you could reuse artwork already posted for a competition?) Good luck in the comp. :)

Keep creating,
Ann OpenroadFootprint

This is cool! I especially like the different textures along with the monotone colors. The lightning looks alive with vibrations and ragged edges! Good work that is fun to view! Good luck in the contest.

The use of light to dark contrast is nice. The comparison of the two is symmetrical. There is some depth but allowing the lightning to be forced off the paper would be really nice... maybe try adding more depth for a raised look

Roflmao!! Yep your gonna be real popular here on FAR. Well since your a newbie and don't have a clue I won't hold it against you. 1st your review is just your opinion. It can be a lil confusing to the artist. No matter what you type when you award an artist 3 stars what your really saying is the work is crap and you need to go back to the drawing board. Now keep in mind those same folks that you review can review your work the same way as well. Some newbies, like yourself, feel like that you have to come up with criticism when not needed. If you hang with us you will find out over time. May I be the 1st welcome you to FAR. If you have any questions just ask. If I don't the answer I will at least point you in the right direction. I will be looking forward to your work. Thanks for sad sad sad review. Wink

Let me see if I understand... seeing how I?m new and all. Clearly not educated on the ranking or review. You seem slightly bothered by my opinion on this particular piece. One of the beautiful things about ART is that it?s projection changes from one eye to the next. The piece will not hold the same meaning or have the same impact as it may have to another. This site is public, allowing people to view and state OPINIONS. You should reconsider posting if you are concerned about the content of the reviews. Thanks for your amazing welcoming reply.

No no no you misunderstand me. See your review is fine but I think your misunderstand the star ranking system..here how it translates .6 stars means exclusive..5 stars good work no improvement..4 stars means good but needs some work .3 stars means it sux and start over again..now I have enough 5 and 6 stars that offset your 3 star so no worries. However if you practice this on other members many things can happen..they won't review your work or rate your at a lower standards than it should be..all I was trying to do was to give you a heads up. Remember those folks you review will be judging your stuff as well. Like I said these reviews are opinions and your review was fine. You might want to look at that star ratings again. You can give the most sweetest review but if you tack 3 stars to it, it will appear that your being a lil disrespectful. I know that is not your intention. Oh btw..I'm not an artist .I'm a cartoonist who only works with sharpie pens .wink .it's all good and holler at me if I can help you. (thumbs up)

This could be interpreted is several different ways. The eyes of God shooting down bolts of truth into this realm. Or it could be the roots of light reaching down unto the earth. Excellent work my friend.

How in the world did I miss this one! I just read the funniest section of notes I've ever seen here! LOL I'm 100% with you on the definition of Nature!
Nature is everything from birds, bees, flowers rain, wind, rainbows, ice, The Northern Lights, the cosmos! Mother Nature has a lot of facets! Love your idea of walking lightening bolts! Between your notes and the bolts I had a lot of fun viewing this one. Sooo Cool! :o) Nancy

I'm so glad you didn't re-do the notes. I never laughed so hard from reading them. If we were allowed to judge the notes alone you would have far surpassed a six star rating!! Plus a hospital bill for braking my ribs!!! LOL :o)

A pretty good looking entry into the competition posted here! Sounds like you have a thing about birds and competitions!! Your lightening flashes made me draw my head back for a few seconds. So I reckon they are alive out there. Nicely done!

Interesting almost ours surrealist of this lightning. The composition and balance of this image is very captivating and nice to view. I would try it upside down- maybe. Then it looks like a tree.
