I actually like that you did the painting in black and white, and it is fine distinctions between dark and light. I also think you have managed to bring out the fine textures in the rocks and the flow of the water in the fall looks fine.

Also the trees in the foreground are well done, and you have used high lights in a good way.

The format and framing is Perfect and With the waterfall off to the left, it is a fine placement off to the left. All together a lovely and well done painting, and I wish you Luck With the contest.

It was a bit of a challenge at first just using two colors in my palette.
I did three of these a time ago and got to like that style a lot. It focused my attention of shapes and light, which of course is also the essence of photography also. Thanks again!

The view is impressive. The monochromatic emphasizes the height of the mountains and the fall profoundly and amplifies light and shadows. The landscape is painted with excellent attention to detail. Perspective and proportions are interesting. The tight framing is adequate. The composition is balanced.
