A wonderful capture of a cold, windy day of the blustery waves and sea. I love watching the waves come in like this. Shows the power and magic of nature. With the dark grey misty mountains and clouds in the background it gives a moody look.
Well captured Pat!

Hello, guess who? I love this photo. It really captures the movement of the water and the clouds in the sky. I don't have anything negative to say about this photo. Keep up the good work.

Awe, if this doesn't set the mood! Your perspective was ideal and offers the incoming waves to create a nice vertical line (leading line) through the image. The low hanging clouds surrounding the mountain peaks definitely help in creating the mood. A fine image with appealing motion and emotion.

Nice stop action on the waves!

looks almost dismal but I do see the sun's shadows falling on the waves toward the bottom.

Love that the mountains looks so menacing. :)

Very nice picture I like how the dark mountains really accent the colors of the breaking waves hitting the beach plus the clouds adds depth to the picture.
The scene is well balanced.
Keep up the great work!

It is very PLEASING to see white balance Controlled so well. It's time members here improve on understanding light and color temps in Photography.
Great POV, fine clarity, great stop action of the water and nice exposure.
Nicely Done Pat ;)

we never imagine Alaska beaches, waves, seas, yet there are massive amounts of coastline and rivers. Alaska to the tv Alaska viewer is greenery, mountains, fir trees and trees. Great photo.

A very nice scene. The windblown waves are great and the exposure for the white froth of the breakers compliments the distant mountains very well.

Looks like it might have been a bit of a raw day, too,a rather monochromatic image with a bright pop of blue sky,I like the texture seen in the sunlit waves as they crash ashore.the outline of waves mimic the mountain range in the background The misty looking mountains look mysterious and foreboding;a prediction of the winter season to come.Very well composed and presented!
