I think this is a very beautiful picture. I've only ever met one person in my life who could do this. I love it. But I think the grass could have been done better.

Thanks Regina for your comments. The "grass" is actually cattails that form around the edge of a water body here in MN. They get matted down and rangy looking in fall after dying back each year.

Hi Allan, I immediately like this because it is ducks , your scene could very well have been inspired by Potter Marsh here, just south of my home, I like the way you placed the ducks on the water and near the bank, this is very realistic as I see the ducks hanging close to the bank like this a lot. The five ducks in flight are well positioned in the scene and I like their flight positions as they are about to land, joining the others. It's a pretty early morning sky in the lavender and blue / grey tones, I like the evergreen trees along the back and the golden grasses that are showing through the snow on the ground surrounding the pond. This is very well rendered it good attention the details, well chosen and applied colors. I like the way you arranged this scene. Well presented!

Thanks Pat, any time a can get positive comments on my art work I am appreciative. In photography the camera is a partner that helps you and should get a lot of the credit for a good image.

Not so with art, you are all on your own. You are totally exposed to comments good or bad, not camera to blame! :)

So thanks, it helps me keep going in artistry.
