I have been there as well Allan, and it is indeed a special Place. Even went to the Casino. LOL You have pictured this Place so well, and I like Your point of view.It is also Nice With the trees as a foreground.
The photo is very Sharp With Clear and well defined details all over, and the exposure is Perfect.
The photo is nicely cropped and it is a very good Balance in the composition. A lovely and well taken photo, and I wish you Luck With the contest.

Thanks Annie. You must be a high roller! :) I remember going up the steps of the casino wanting to look around. A sign said "Members Only". Yikes that is not me. Maybe there were two entrances and I missed the public one. I would have liked to have seen inside though. I also remember how they display the royal flag outside if the Prince is in residence. His flag was flying when we were there, but no invites for tea!

I don't remember if it was two entrances, but none of was members. You really missed out of something, because the Casino is truly beautiful inside. The confiscated my camera though. LOL Got it back of course, on the way out. I am not a gambler either, but just like you I wanted to see how it looked like inside. You are of course more than welcome for the review.

The yachts give a clue as to the wealth the people who live here enjoy, I am intrigued by how many structures are located here in this mountainside and how close together they are, I think that rich people tend to want their homes up high, it's that way here in Anchorage too. This is a good entry for this contest as it definitely shows how man has impacted this landscape, completely changing it!

Thanks Pat for your thoughtful evaluation of this image. For sure there were rich people all over the place. I spent an hour or so just sitting eating an ice cream cone looking at the expensive cars drive by. My favorite was a Bugatti Veyron, worth a million bucks.
