A fun illustration for sure! I like the cowboys head placed perfectly in the sun (a nice focal point). The story telling and consequently interest is well achieved. The cactus offers nice filler and offers geographical placement.

Thank you so much again. I wish so much that I had a real photo of the original animal!

I really like this in black and white, very nice digital painting, I can see that the horse is backing up to the cactus, well shown in the position of the horse , I like the way you arranged this scene with the sun right behind the riders head, nice detail throughout, I like the placement of both the cactus and the trees. Well presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

A wonderful b&w image of "Machismo",he is something that I would like to see in person! Just finished reading your book, thoroughly enjoyed it,extremely interesting and loved your drawings scattered throughout;actually got a copy of the first printing under your real name. This is just an excellent image with good detailing throughout. A perfect entry for the contest,I wish you all the best!

Ah yes, the Spanish is corrected in the new one, and the ending changed to match the unpublished screenplay. The screenplay was almost produced in Europe, but the arts are in slippery slope.... Do I have your email? I will see what I can do to send you a copy of the new ending. Or, maybe I'll send you a copy of the New published book if you will send me your mailing address. The narrative is better edited by me... Hackers were screwing with me terribly during the first publishing -- so much so I gave up doing it on my computer and edited the galley through the publisher at an absurd cost. Now the new publisher has been hacked themselves and not functioning normally, lol... I am glad you enjoyed it!

The animal looks mighty and majestic but also benign. Its rider and the cactus look small in comparison. The painting shows the mystery and some of the compelling characters of your story.
It invites the viewers to read the book. The painting is well composed and framed.

Thank you very much! You need to read my caption; the real Dragon Mule was nearly 6 feet at the shoulder...

the exact same happens with the offspring with lions breeding with tigers but only if the female is a lion, that 'ligers' are way bigger than the parents. the reverse with tigers and male lions, make smaller 'tigons'. i think i had an old postcard of a similar horse. i might be able to track it down. your picture is really beautiful and depicts the huge size for sure + many educational details.

Very interesting! Yes this animal may have been a one of a kind on the planet. The owner gelded it to make it more docile, but wonder if he hadn't whether it would have been sterile -- or start a new species, lol.... I loved it, had HUGE liquid eyes....

I see a possible contest winner here! This art is great! Unusual to see your work in black and white scale, Victoria! Many details, as always! Great depth! Pleasure to review! Good luck in the contest!
