I really like the way the clouds form a texture in two layers here, and the trees add perspective to the lower part of the landscape. It looks like something in the style of Ansel Adams.

Beautiful Pat, it looks like a charcoal drawing. Very expressive!. The clouds have such volume and density. I like the motion. It has for me a inspiration of starry starry night by Van Gogh.

Wow! You've captured some amazing cloud formations here, Pat. The use of black and white really dramatises the effect. Excellent lighting and focus. Great composition. Suzanne

Excellent choice converting this photo to black and white as it makes the clarity and contrast much more distinct. It also projects a much clearer message of a potential impending storm rolling in. I assume that cumulus cloud formations appear regularly as a result of the convective currents rising up from the hills and lakes in that area.

Thank you so much Charlie, this area is a mountain Summit. It seems that there is always a wonderful display of clouds in this area.

Lovely black and white image of the cloud formations. A great composition to show us the different shades of clouds from fluffy white through to the darker greys. Another interesting image to view.

I think the Black and White gives this cloudy scene a very dramatic look. I like the contrast between the dark and white areas of the clouds. Very well done!

The strong contrast within the clouds draws the attention of the viewer. The visual impact of this photo is highly emotional.
The clouds seem threatening. Their dark underside foreboding. The landscape below seems subdued, fearfully of the danger of the approaching storm. The monochromatic emphasizes the mood profoundly. The photo is well composed and accordingly framed.

This is a very dramatic picture shot in black and white. One almost expects Thor to come thundering out of these clouds that look very malevolent. Nicely done!
