One of my favorites Pat, as it is very monochromatic in areas. It reflects such a tranquil feeling and engages me Into a trans like state. The colors are rich but not overpowering. I love the fore ground which show shapes that could be logs or old wooden vessel. There is no finite time line to this piece, beautiful!

Another lake for fishing to be great as not too many people would go because of the road. Love this reflection from the sky, great mirror image and well balanced. Love the shoreline, rugged and yet attaintable

this has a totally different character to most of your landscapes. It is almost epherial. Usually your landscapes are robust and in your face gorgeous. I saw the 'Alaska' bush family making shelters from birch trees yesterday /because they have slim, easy to chop down trunks?/

Thank you so very much ! It was very still and quiet out here at this lake.

That is what I saw on tv One of our bush men was in Canada and he was using birch bark. More than one variety of birch is used. In North America, the native population used birch bark for canoes, wigwams, scrolls, ritual art (birch bark biting), maps (including the oldest maps of North America), torches, fans, musical instruments, clothing, and more

Lovely view with a smooth fine painterly like look. The soft glow and colors offered by the setting sun are what makes this so special.
Great exposure, sharp focus and superb POV.
Nice work Pat :)

You've captured a beautiful shot of Mudd Lake, Pat. I love the subtle colours in this in the early evening light. I like the angle you used showing the boats in the foreground, giving depth to the view. Excellent lighting and focus. Beautiful composition. Suzanne

This tranquil scene makes me think of a painting. That is quite an effect with the golden cloud, yet can not actually see even the rim of the sun. The effect must be created somehow by the northern sky. My admiration. Thanks for sharing this very lovely shot!

Fantasticly beautiful! Total sence of harmony and peace. The silence can be heard by the heart! Perfect reflections, looks like the sky fell into the lake and stucked in there. A golden ratio of ground, water and sky. Fire like Sunset, quickly changing colors and getting colder...it's all in one piece here! I don't have any sixes left to reward this spectacular shot! Thank you for inspiring me again Pat!!!

Beautiful and peaceful. An eye pleaser. Calming. A place to meditate and find ones self. A place to get grounded and rejuvenated. A place I'd like to be. Beautiful!

What a great scene Pat. One can feel the peace and ultimate quiet as the daylight fades and all the creatures begin to settle for the night.

The soft pastels of the sky and reflection on the lake is lovely. The foreground items provide a nice contrast to the lake, sky and mountain.

Beautiful work Pat ~ Steve
