Interesting history to the name and a well composed image for the contest. The texture of the batter on the fish shows up well and the contrasting green adds color to the image.

I remember eating bombil with their soft bones, crispy fried; not so fat as it looks here;
a suggestion: inorder to avoid the committee removing your pic, because they Don't read the details, I would change the title as follows:
"Bombay duck: a fish specialty"

Looks like a pretty good entry into the competition posted here! Your full and almost central composition grants us a good look at the tasty meal that some lucky person is about to eat. I presume that is you? Exposure and sharpness are good. Well done and good luck!

A very nice presentation from a culinary point of view and a fine photo tool. I like the look of the banana leaf and the way it contrasts with the red onion. A fine shot with great colors.
