I like very much how the light is reflecting on the bird, especially on its beak. The photo is perfect focused and exposed. The removal of distractions is expertly done. I admire the refinement of detail and the realism of colors. The bird is excellently placed at the left of the frame. The composition is balanced.

Great shot of this beauty. I love Starlings and you captured all that makes them so unique. The pose is fantastic. The composition is so nice. Perfect placement of the bird in the frame. The soft background and branch almost look like they were painted just to present him on. Very nice work!

Sweet ! I love the clarity of white dots as well as the texture of the plumage. Great angle showing the tiny black eyes, and its facial expression. The starling is well-placed in the frame, and is in compliance with the rule of third.

This is a very attractive photo of a starling,it's giving you a nice profile, and i see the iridescence in it's plumage.Very sharp focus ,good catchlight in the eye. A very enjoyable photo of a bird that usually doesn't get a second glance!

Thank you so much LeeAnn, I have been trying to get a shot of the starlings in the light, but they are so flighty , this was the first time it didn?t fly off, it looks young , but it has to be an adult.

Hi Pat, I can't tell if this starling is puffed up or has been out in the rain. Hid feathers look like they're glistening. Love the highlights and the pose. A very nice capture with good lighting and focus! :o) Nancy

Adults starlings might be the least well liked bird in the "lower 48" but your chick is pretty darn cute! The polka dots and green-tinged feathers couldn't have been seen far away, so your up-close portrait was a wise choice. The design on the underside of the tail feathers is also an eye-catcher.
