I rated this shot as a 6star one because it's perfect! Nice close-up with fine details. Nice use of the light and shadows. It creates great depth and makes the image attractive to a viewer. My favorite part is the red accent color of the hat. It looks like a cherry in the pie. Bright and sweet! Different textures: smooth bark and soft feathers. Again, this one is excellent, Pat!!!

I really like how the shadow enhances the subject. The red and white colors really make the bird stand out. The photo is well balanced and the bark pattern on the trees really helps accent the photo.
