This was indeed good timing Fred, because it could not have taken long before that Fish was eaten. I like the way the photo was taken from behind as well, and that the bird is standing out well from the background.

The photo is Sharp and it is such Clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is very good.

The cropping is working well, and the bird has got a fine placement a bit off to the right. A very fine and well taken photo, and With a very good DOF.

You can see the blues on his tail end here. This one looks like it is in Breeding colors.
Great back end view showing fantastic colors and details. I like the view of the face, eyes and fish showing sharp focus and Controlled white balance.

A nice shot here Fred. The point of view is refreshingly different. The colors are well rendered and the focus is sharp. The stop action is great as the action happens rather quickly in situations such as this.

A very nice shot. It seems to me that whenever they get a fish that will be a bit of a challenge to swallow they bring it onto the shore and beat it around a bit. A nice shot that shows both the bird and his dinner in good detail.

Fred a beautiful stop action picture of this Grey Heron after catching it's fish & bringing it ashore before getting it in the position to swallow it. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.
