Absolutely a beautiful flower. The detail is amazing. The colors are vivid and true. The flower is delicate and gentle.
Beautifully framed. Excellent focus. Nicely accomplished.

Must be a great entry into the competition posted here! Never seen a flower like this before!! Got no idea what it is or where in the world it grows. Exposure and sharpness are spot on. Great photo and good luck!

Thanks a lot NIK for your great review and rating. According to Fred it is a Brugmansia sanguinea. That means a blood red trumpet flower. To be honest I don't remember where I took the picture. It was probably in Ajijic, Mexico. It was one of several flowers hanging from a large plant. They were beautiful. Thanks again NIK ~ Steve

Very nice creation! I like your choices of using the b & w flowers in the background. The crisp focus of the subject along with the vivid colors make this far more than just a pretty flower picture! Good luck in the contest.

Aw thanks BFF. I really appreciate your review and Fabulous rating. Now if I could only remember how I did this. It was a beautiful flower, one that caught my eye where ever I was. No clue of that either. I really miss my mind. I think it's on Mute ; )

Be well my BFF ~ BFF

The beautiful colors of the blossom stand especially well out from the monochrome background. The flower gleams like a jewel. The use of light to emphasize the sharpness of detail is especially impressive. The photo is excellently focused and treated with mixed media. The tall framing is perfect. The blossom is expertly placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Wow! Thank you so much Lucas. I really appreciate your glowing review and Grand rating. How are you and your family coping with this virus thing? We are here in Ajijic, Mexico in a little gated community. It is private with a swimming pool and the weather is beautiful. We are scheduled to return to the U.S. at the end of April. All of our friends say to just stay here for now as things are getting crazy where we live. So we are just going to play it by ear. Take care of yourself Lucas and stay healthy my friend ~ Steve

Very nice use of selective color here Steve, the trumpet flower is standing out and coming forward from the black and white background is a powerful way. The trumpet flower is well focused, the image is sharp and clear, I see good detail over every part of this interesting flower, I like the way it is facing downward. . Lighting is well managed here and the colors are gorgeous and appear natural.
Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

Wow! Thank you so much VO. This is very encouraging as I really don't do flower photos. I leave that to the Experts like you : )

Things are going well for being stuck in paradise. Went to eat at an out door sea food place. Tables were spread about 15' apart so it was safe. Had a great pan seared tuna steak. Yum. o far so good here. Thank you again for your Great review and rating VO ~ FS
