I like the bold brush strokes. This is an interesting rendition. The painting is stylish and unusual. The limitation of color is intriguing. The combination of the complimentary colors red and green pleases our eyes and emotions while the brown center with the silver streaks draws our eyes. The framing is adequate. Although, the composition seems balanced, I wished there would be more space at the right.

Very cool looking work of art. I like the attention getting colors used. The contrast of greens and orange reds really stands out. The heavy brush strokes in the light and dark greens adds a wonderful element. Great entry for the contest and I wish your all the best in the voting ~ Steve

Beautifully composed presentation with the main colour of the poppy bursting out at the viewer.I myself did something similar with a painting called Poppy Burst and your filling of the canvas works well with the green foliage framing the subject well

This artwork certainly is apt for the "Colour in Art" Beautiful bright orange poppy in the midst of greenery. The detail is lovely and with the black centre. Interesting and different. Well done and all the best in the contest.
