Wow ! This is awesome Fred! I love this interaction between the German Shepherd and the mean goose! I know how mean geese can be, years ago I had a neighbor who kept big white geese and they would chase me and not back down from anything! I like the position of the dog here as he tries to be ready for the attack. Well captured, nice stop of the action ,well focused , I like the shadow of the goose too! Well presented!

The female geese is protecting her territory, she wants the water to be her sanctuary not to be shared with the dog. Or maybe the dog likes to only play? Great picture, light and good balance.!

You make me smile!

The dog looks as though it is wanting to play but imagine it was put off by the lady goose. Good handling of exposure and your composition is good.

:):) The poor dog looks very worried and has started backtracking. Good study of the bird's behaviour! Good timing! The light and shadows, colours and the composition have worked out well. Good effort!

A beautiful shot. I like the cropping and the way the dog seems to want to play while the goose is deadly serious. A fine exposure with beautiful colors.

Fred,
A beautiful picture of this white domestic Greylag Goose wings out head down & loudly voicing her opinion of the German Shepherd dog approaching her on the right. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

Quite a good nature shot posted here! Your fine composition captures a good action moment. Wonder why the tripod does not spook her? Sharpness and exposure are OK. Nicely done!

Nicely captured action shot although its a shame that you were unable to catch the whole of the dogs body which personally I think would have presented better. However, well done for capturing such an exciting subject
