A feel of Van Gogh and Evard Munch here! Love the contrast between the sky and barren dead land. The reflection of the sky in the river is very prophetic!!!! I'm back!!!!

I love how you have played with this scene and created such a 'piece of art'!
The colours in the sky and the ground both work really well with the dead trees. Interesting concept.
Quite interested in how long a piece like this takes.

Keep creating so wonderfully!

    Hello Ann,

Thank you so much for your review and comments. I worked on this scene using various Smart Photo Editor filters. I used Photo Shop to give a dramatic look to the clouds. It took about an hour total, off and on, to get what I finally wanted. Since I can't paint or draw this is my way of creating 'art'. Thank you again Ann for your wonderful comments ~ Steve

Thanks Steve for sharing and letting me know. :)
I use photoshop a lot for work (graphics) and only get a small window where I spend time 'playing' with other techniques.
I need to learn to have time to just 'play' and then, learn patience so I can create some more interesting pieces than I currently do too.

Indeed this is every inch the winner!

The dramatic manipulation of the skyline complements the dead trees below...

The melted clouds seem to be the dying flames but will be burning eternally!

The Dramatic illumination sets the over all mood of this image.

Sorry I was not able to vote for this as my iPad was not functioning well for the past months .....it's a waste of time waiting for my iPad to be on again! It can take dictation but most of the time I have to do the typos as it cannot really decipher what I'm saying--maybe it's my Filipino accent! :-)

Congratulations on your well deserved win. This picture is so surrealistic and spiritual. I love it. It's like the souls that are dead without The Savior. The wrath of God swirling overhead. This is so beautiful. Truly.

This is really cool! The Midway Geyser is an awesome place to begin with and your editing and use of filters has created a very dramatic image. Very nicely done!

Thank you so much Barbara. Yellowstone is my favorite place. I grew up 90 miles from the park and have been there more times than I can count. I absolutely love the geyser basins. So very primordial. I appreciate your positive review. It is very encouraging. Thank you also for your More than Generous rating. Made my day Barbara ~ Steve

I truly love this! This is very beautiful and something I could really get behind. The colors are really working together and helping the darkness stick out! It's very interesting to see where the mind takes us when we do art and this is something I really vibe with.

Thank you very much Clovis1985. I am not an artist and cannot even draw a stickman. The closest I can get is to take a photo and become an artist in after photo. I truly appreciate you thoughts as they are very encouraging ~ Steve

Love, Love!! This is so cool. I can "feel" the movement in this image. Actually it appears as a painting. Beautifully presented. I see you leaning toward that painting artist hiding inside of you LOL.
Great colors. I think this looks like it was very fun to create.
Beautifully designed and arranged!

Wow. Thank you so very much Monica. You know I tried taking a couple of art lessons and there is no doubt in my mind that I am not destined to become a world class artist LOL. You are the first to note that this is like a painting. I actually am trying to be more artistic in my after photo work. You are right, it is my way of letting that hiding artist hiding inside out into the world. That is such a hoot but I do feel very creative when I work on photos. Thank you Monica for your wonderful review and rating ~ Steve

Impressive! looks like the sky of Hell with the angry clouds of red and black above the scorched looking tree skeletons among the ash. The water looks like liquid sulphur, one can imagine the smell intermingled with that of death and decay. A vivid nightmare image!

wow Top this is wicked! I wish I had a 6 to give ya. very cool how ya did the clouds. makes me think some UFO will come out of there. the angle of the shot of the water and tree skyline gives it an additional wicked special effect. the clarity is excellent. the capture of the light is excellent. the image is well balanced and very eye appealing to the viewer. very creative approach and awesome work overall(clapping)

Thanks a lot Troop. This is what happens when I have nothing better to do then work on photos. We are on Staycation in Ajijic, Mexico (outside Guadalajara). The weather is perfect, we have a pool that I hit every day and so far there are no reported cases of the virus. So far so good. No shortages of anything but they have shut down restaurants to take out / delivery only. We do have to wear a mask when outside walking to the store, etc. We'll make it through ~ Top
