What a perfect photo for Memorial day. I like what you like. The aging, rust and patina. If it only could talk. I would imagine it has a lot to say. I like that the background looks like it is black. It gives the right feel for this photo. Great job!

nice capture. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the angle of the shot of this old WW2 relic is great. the image is balanced and eye interesting to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

A superb photograph and certainly a worthy contest contender. Rusty items seldom look beautiful, but this military equipment has a beauty of its own. The photo has so much texture and color considering its age. My dad, too, was a WWII veteran (Navy, submarine service). We have visited many military museums and sites over the years. Thank goodness some of the pieces are well preserved for the future.

A very fine shot. My dad was in OSS in the WWII and this is the kind of artful look back to that long forgotten war that brings him to mind. A beautifully composed shot with fine detail. Good luck in the contest.

The photo is well focused and exposed and has good depth. The rusty spots among the cracking paint show perfectly. The star emphasizes the rust and the lock. The colors are realistic. Both are excellently placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
