Your stop-in action is exquisite. How the water races over the stones and splashes onto the rocks is stunning. The violent crash shows the velocity of the waves. The conversion to black and white emphasizes the action. The Despite the dark shadows lurking within the rocks at the right, we see that the rock are wet due to the low reflection of light on them. The photo is excellently focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. The composition is balanced and well framed.

Hi Steve this is a great image. Although I am a big color person I am really enjoying the black and white view here. There is so much texture and movement.
Yes nature is amazing.
Nicely accomplished.

Thank you Monica. Yes this is a little out of the box for me. I normally do color. When I went to black and white it seemed to be more dramatic. I really appreciate your review and commentary Monica ~ Steve

A spectacular action shot of the waves crashing into the rocks. The chiaroscuro technique has come in to play in a very effective way with great strength displayed in relation to the light to dark tones. The movement of the sea always mesmerises me and you have achieved this in your photo too

Great dramatic black and white image of the waves splashing on the large rocks. I can become quite mesmerised by these scenes as they show how powerful nature is. Clarity and focus is good and shadow and light excellent. Well captured my friend!

Very action driven, crashing wave photograph. A good choice for black and white presentation and composition. The details are showing nicely and the overall effect is pleasing.

the rush of water in the rocks and given I presume a slowish shutterspeed gives a very visual effect in this, different view of a wave be it small in comparison to other wave shots on here...Brian

Thanks Brian. I used an app for slow shutter speed on my iPhone. This was my first try at using it. I think it has potential in the future ~ Steve

A beautiful black and white presentation with a fine tonal range despite the first impression of overall darkness. A very fine composition with beautiful water.
