Intentionally carefully image of the animal that is not sure what to do. Great details, and intentions to be seen. Great composition and presentation.

    Jirinalspire,

the hardest part is how much to draw when a specific body part is being asked for as the main component of a piece, can you get enough so it makes sense and yet not so much that it takes away from the main element. I think this drawing did that.

As always; Thank you for your time and the review, it is very much appreciated.

Great drawing you have done. Really great intensity shown in the eyes. Very realistic looking. I like the close up of the face only.

The eyes definitely have it . Great entry fore the contest - good luck. Yes- something has caught his attention and you have depicted it superbly. Looks like he is planning his next move - trying to figure out what it is going to be. Thanks for sharing.

I think it would have taken me some time to realise you had drawn part of a cat's head! I can though quite easily see that it is intensely concentrating on something before it. Yes, I do think you have achieved your goal. Well done!

    nikman,
    hello again.
My intent was to show the intense concentration in the stare that only a cat can express. That look of it having spotted something it really wants to know, like what it is, to track and hunt. In this case, the eyes of this tiger was focused, zero in on an object without blinking.
Thank you for your support of me and my work with having taken the time to review the work being displayed; your efforts in doing so are really appreciated.

I like how you have the close up of this feline's face. It does justice to its expression, and just shows how even if we have such small data to work with, we can still see the formidable demeanor of this animal under the veil of the obscurity of this composition. The gradations are well done, and the offset of the symmetry with the right and left eye create this rugged and natural tone to this image. I like the simplicity of it yet having a more gut response to the overall image.

Out of 6 stars - but no worries...I would rate this work a 6 anyway! I love the composition of this drawing. It immediately catches the viewer's attention. The detail achieved is one of the work's finest attributes. I can really feel the intensity of the cat's stare. I would love to see more from this artist as I enjoy drawing and detail work as well. The artist's skill is apparent in this work! Very well done!

Well, What do I think?Nothings at the first visual impact, because I have the feel that the animal is starring at me. I don't know if the cat regards me as friend or foe or perhaps as food. In any case, this star is penetrating. Your drawing is impressive. The few face features in this close-up are drawn with excellent attention to exact detail. I find is especial interesting the eyes are not alike. It shows that your drawing is realistic because the eyes of an individual are usually not alike. The limitation of detail emphasizes the eyes. The tight framing is adequate. The composition is balanced.

Yes! It does. It is very simplistic, yet so powerful! The eyes say it all. They look very intense. The shading is excellent. I believe it is true that the eyes are the mirror of the soul.
