The out-of-focus verdant foliage lends a very nice contrasting background as the subject stands out more nicely against it...

Beautiful color,excellent crisp focus and dof,would have been a great choice for the flowers contest! Pistil and stamens are nice and sharp,I see pollen grains on the petals and fine hairs on the stem. All set off by a lovely green background. A beautifully composed image!

A crisp finish to this piece,almost to the point that the viewer can reach in and feel the tissue like crispness to the petals that have been beautifully focused with great sharpness.The backdrop is well blurred to allow the enhancement of the main subject

A beautiful picture of this soft orange Poppy with crushed silk petals & the golden pollen laden stamens encircling the pistil in the centre Framed by the soft blurred greens in the background.

The flower is lovely. The pink color demands attention. The Poppy looks elegant on the soft greens of the background. The photo is excellent focused and exposed and has perfect depth. I enjoy the refinement of detail and the realism of color. I like the view from above. The yellow stamen and the ovary are especial interesting and the texture of the petals shows well. The poppy is perfectly placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
